I detest the short timeout of this forum
I cannot tell you how often I already typed in a longer, while the forum in the background meanwhile already timed out my session. When clicking "Submit" you are logged out and your posting is lost. Typing it in again is such a frustrating experience.
I would highly appreciate if the timeout could be increased considerable, e.g. by 2h

It was lowered to make it harder for spam bots to login and pretend to be a human, by idling.
It may been a bit to aggressive low limit, so I raised the limit to 15minutes now.
It should restart its timeout every time you interact with the forum.

Just came across this post because i was wondering the same thing.
It doesn't seem like 15min, Maybe I'm slower at typing and reading things than other members.
But 15 minutes 
Could i squeeze another 5 minutes out of an admin please

ohh come on Admin's, Cant ya make it 20 minute's long please, It takes more than 15 minutes to read some pages and that's a real pain in the ass having to log in every time.
Please i beg of you, Its driving me crazy.
