I have the following
1. Data Watch RFID Tag
2. PROXMARK3D v4.01 Flashed to the latest firmware
3. Battery and Bluetooth pack installed
trying to read the Datawatch card into the Memory of the Proxmark and see if I can get a reader to recognize the Proxmark as the card.
When I was buying this setup I was told it should be press the button to turn the card into a reader and record the card into a memory bank and than press it again for it to become a tag reading these forums I guess that is not true
So is there a basic getting started guide or video? I can make a guide if someone is willing to help me get it going.

Ok so just for good measure I tried the button while it was attached to the PC and held it for 4-5 seconds and it starting recording I put the DataWatch card close to the reader and got the following
#db# [=] starting recording
#db# DEBUG: (preambleSearchEx) preamble found at 52
#db# DEBUG: (preambleSearchEx) preamble 2 found at 148
#db# TAG ID: 2401ba4460 (8752) - Format Len: 34bit - FC: 221 - Card: 8752
#db# Stopped
#db# [=] recorded bank 1 | 24 01ba4460
than I pressed the button again and it went into playing
#db# [=] playing
#db# [=] 1 24 01ba4460
and low and behold I was able to get the reader to recognize the Proxmark and work that is very neat.
Now I have to figure out how to put something in memory bank 2 that is a Indala card.
What you are refering as "press the button to turn the card into a reader and record the card into a memory bank" is what we call a standalone mode. You would need to figure out how standalone mode works.
Since you are new, I suggest you spend some serious time reading all docs over at the RRG/Iceman repo in order to take full advantage of your new RDV4 w Blueshark.
Looks like all the directions are old so i made an updated diagram of LEDs and how they work on my ProxMark
