The little revision of Chameleon Mini, based on Rev E firmware has been a beauty to play with.
Downside was that it contained custom firmware which wasn't available. So it lacks some fixes like the offical github repo has.
After some time, I managed to get hold of the manufacturer and we have talked a bit about it.
The outcome of these talks is that the manufacturer agreed that it should be opensource again and I got the whole source code for it.
I'll make a iceman fork - chameleon mini revE asap on my Github.
And a repo for a open source GUI is also up,
First release of firmware from the open source repo for Chameleon Mini - rebooted.
https://github.com/iceman1001/Chameleon … s/tag/v1.0
It is supported with existing GUI and the new open source GUI.
For those who can't compile the windows GUI there is a click-once deployment installation located here. It has the update functionality installed, so yes it does phone home to see if there is a new update and offers you to update before the client starts if an update is found.
This is standard Microsoft click-once functionality. Google it if you are doubtful.

Pre-requsite: dot.net 4.5.2
Feel free to make a contribution for the hosting.
First release of the Windows GUI, v1.0. is available on GitHub.

User @mosci has released his first draft for a GUI for the Chameleon Mini, its developed in Golang.
Its a great contribution for all cross-platform ppl where before only Windows ppl got to play with a GUI.
There are quite some few GUI's for Chameleon mini now.
And with great help from user @Bogiton, we added some really nice features to the iceman gui.
The languages and templates is simple textfiles which makes it easy to add new templates etc.
This GUI version is quite slick!
- dump management
- bin diff
- color templates ( S50 1K, UL-EV1-48b, S20 320b available)
- Multilanguage support
- better identification of connected device.
Latest release of the Chameleon GUI. v1.1

For those who don't know how to compile, there is a Click-once deployment here
http://www.icesql.se/download/Chameleon … ublish.htm
Notes
its hosted on my server and yes, it calls home in order to look for updates each time it is started.
If update found, you get option to update (recommended to do so) and if no internet, then it just runs.
This is standard Click-Once deployment behavior. Google it if you are doubtful.
With latest additions, the GUI now supports RevE rebooted and RevG devices
The following functionality has been added
- support RevG devices
- support JSON dump format
- support EML dumps format
- Dark theme templates
- support GUI language in English, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Swedish
- Fast startup time with enhanced com port identification of device
Check it out!
